Joyce Murdock, President
Joyce Murdock is a highly respected human resources executive with substantial experience in all areas of human resources management and leadership coaching. She has worked as a human resources executive within Fortune 500 companies for 20 years.
Most recently Joyce was the Director, Human Resources for California Pizza Kitchen. She was responsible for providing human resources services and leadership coaching to 32 Regional Directors and 1000 Managers.
Prior to CPK Joyce was the Vice President, Human Resources for Vans Shoe Company. She managed the responsibilities of this position while also providing counsel and guidance to executives and senior managers throughout this multinational enterprise.
Prior to joining Vans Shoe Company, she worked with Avery Dennison where her focus as primarily on training and development, executive coaching, leadership development, and performance management. Based at the corporate offices in Pasadena, Joyce worked directly with the senior management team.
Joyce served as Human Resources Manager for Mattel Toy Company at its Corporate Offices in El Segundo, California. As Human Resources Manager she provided recruitment, compensation, training and employee relations services to employees and managers. her responsibilities included working with the Preside to develop and implement a new performance management program.
Previously she worked for the First Interstate Bank of California where her responsibilities included the College Relations Recruitment Program. While at First Interstate Bank, she led a management steering committee in the development of a diversity training program used throughout the Corporation. She began her human resources career at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her client list includes Sony Entertainment, Toyota corporation, Tyra Banks, Bankable Production Company, Sea Recovery, Talley Communications, Right Management International Consulting Company and Prototypes, a non-profit organization.
Joyce has a Master of Arts degree in Organization Management from Antioch University. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, Society of Human Resources Management, Los Angeles Compensation and Benefits Association, and a member of The Professionals in Human Resources Association; She is the Director of the membership Committee for the International Coaches Federation of Los Angeles. Joyce serves on the Board of Directors for NEA Dorris Associates, an employee assistance program organization as well as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Center for Non-Profit Management. Joyce is a certified business leadership coach.
